The
Indic Studies Network (IsNew) was established at the Conference on Religions and Cultures in the Indic Civilisation, held in New Delhi in December 2003. This nascent organization, initiated by the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies and Manushi aims to bring together scholars and students interested in promoting and encouraging rigorous study of diverse study of diverse cultures and religious traditions in the Indic universe: Hinduism, Zoroastrianism, Bahaii, Jainism, Buddhism, Neo-Buddhism, Christianity, Islam and Sikhism, including their various sects and branches.
